interview!

gir
i have a job interview today! it is retail, which is lame, and it's a group thing, which is even lamer. but tis a job. the woman phoned me up about it today to remind me to come, even though i was told last week and am perfectly capable of writing down dates and times etc. let's hope this is because all the other applicants are retards. i had a telephone interview the other day, and didn't get the job, and the only thing that surprises me is how little i now care.

i really want uni to start! i'm quite excited about my course, i looked through all the modules yesterday and decided what i want to do. it sounds really interesting. it might also make me computer literate at last as i'm going to do things like CAD and such. go me! freshers week is a week on monday and i get lots of free food and drink at postgraduate luncheons and parties and things - sounds good :).

i am going more and more insane. i really don't understand why companies have application forms. why don't they just request a cv, and for you to write about how you fit each aspect of the person specification - because that's basically what an application form is! i really am sick of writing the same things over and over again. at least my handwriting is now even neater than it already was.

just wondered actually - could anyone shed any light on this?:
does having asthma make me disabled?
because technically, in small print etc it does count as an unseen disability - but i have never considered myself to be disabled. however, i'm scared that if i don't put it and they find out then i'll be in trouble.

me and chris are going to magenta tonight after i've had my interview. would be cool to see people, this lack of human interaction is probably not very healthy for me.

i think that theoretically, having asthma might mean you're disabled but its a bit like... only what you consider to be a problem. forms with things liek that on are generally so that they can make any necessary provisions for you in order to accomade any disabled people in keeping with equal opportunities. or possibly to alert them to any problems you might have while at work. if you don't think its a problem, i don't think it matters. i always wonder about whether i should put i'm dyslexic, but never do because then i think well even if they do find out they're not really going to bat an eyelid.

and good luck with your interview!
